The light that shines into the conservatries is perfect to plan your journeys under. The patio is equipped for you to relax while the children play on the lawns. There is one ground floor double room and a further three upstairs. A total of two bathrooms are in Goodalls and a pet is welcome.
Chale is a delightful charming rural village on the Isle of Wight’s southernmost tip. The neighbouring coastal route, which spans approximately 60 miles around the Island, offers fantastic treks and magnificent vistas. The charming Victorian resort of Ventnor, widely known for its moderate climate and sandy beaches, is only 4 miles away.
Following the wreck of the Clarendon, a lighthouse was built at St Catherine’s Point to serve as a warning to ships. After looting wine belonging to the church from a nearby wreck, Walter De Godeton was commanded to build the ‘Pepperpot’ atop the surrounding downs as a beacon in the 14th century. On a nice day, it’s a lovely stroll with spectacular views.
While you are on the Isle of Wight make the most of the walks and cycle routes right from your door across the cliffs and fields, taking in the wildlife and views of the English Channel. On the Southern side of the Island you can visit St Catherine’s Light House and Oratory for a little history, Blackgang Chine Adventure Park for fun for all the family or visit Devil’s Chimney for an adventure.
The Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a designated natural area on England’s largest offshore island, the Isle of Wight. The AONB was established in 1963 and encompasses 189 square kilometres, roughly half of the island, predominantly along the south and north beaches but also containing downland in the east. It also includes the Hamstead and Tennyson Heritage Coast zones, which make up nearly half of the shoreline.
