This is the second of the two converted stables which are set at the end of a private lane, on the owners’ 70 acre working livestock farm.

Situated less than 2 miles from the village of Bodle Street Green and close to Battle, Bexhill-on-Sea and Hastings.

These spacious cottages are comfortable and perfect for couples, families and friends just looking to stay in a quiet, rural location where the views are wonderful.

Each cottage has been decorated and furnished within keeping the countryside in mind.

Although they are both all ground floor accommodation with the Shire Stable being less open plan, each has its own distinct interior layout.

Both cottages share  the fantastic views which cover acres of farmland, meadows and woods, right across to the South Downs, so just imagine whether you are enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine whilst sitting on your very own private patio you can enjoy these fabulous views.

Bodle Street Green is a perfect choice for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, whether it’s long walks through the countryside, cycling along the lanes of Sussex, or maybe a bit of birdwatching, discovering flora and fauna, your stay at Stud Farm Cottages will not disappoint!

Just a short drive away is the larger village of Herstmonceux, which plays host to thousands of visitors every year.

The 15th century castle sits in over 300 acres of grounds and is open to the public between April and October and during the season hosting  several events and festivals.

The main festival covers a whole weekend and includes jousting tournaments, falconry displays, costume parades and even a street market with stalls selling food based on medieval recipes.

Within the Herstmonceux grounds there is also a science observatory, which is open to the public from February through to November and is perfect for a family day out whatever the weather.

Children of all ages can view the stars through powerful telescopes and discover the universe as they never did before!
