With private off road parking available below the hillside gardens and just a short stroll to the nearest shops and pubs, you could easily leave the car parked for a few days in order to explore the area on foot.
Why not take a ride on the water-operated cliff railway to the charming harbour at Lynmouth, where the views en-route are truly breathtaking.
Walk to the spectacular setting of the Valley of Rocks, which is about a mile walk from Lynton, or enjoy a stroll along the East Lyn River valley, one of Britain’s deepest river gorges, to Watersmeet where there is a National Trust owned tea room and visitor centre.
