Apple Tree Lodge is a charming two-bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to five visitors.
The cottage itself contains everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. The entry leads directly into the hallway. Comfortable sofas greet you as you enter the big lounge, where you can congregate around the TV/DVD. To prepare a great meal, proceed to the well-equipped kitchen. There’s an electric oven and stove, as well as a microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher, as well as a breakfast bar. A utility space with a washing machine and freezer, as well as a cloakroom with WC, are adjacent to the kitchen. A lovely dining area with loads of natural light facing the garden is also on the ground level. Two lovely bedrooms, one double and one twin, are reached by a flight of stairs (an extra bed can be added for a small cost to the double bedroom by request). A bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and W.C. is also available.
The cottage has a lovely front yard, which is enclosed and gated and captures the evening sun as it sets over the downs. It’s an ideal spot for al fresco eating, and there’s garden furniture and a grill on hand to make it happen. Two sun loungers and a washing line with pegs are also available in the backyard. In terms of parking, the driveway has room for one automobile. In the nearby peaceful lanes, more vehicles can be parked.
This charming house puts you in the driver’s seat for the best of Shanklin. The ancient village centre, with its thatched cottages, traditional shops, and inviting taverns and cafes, is only a short walk away. A sandy beach is only a short distance away, perfect for paddling and swimming. Alternatively, take in the coastal panoramas from the cliff path, which offers stunning views across Sandown Bay to the Culver white cliffs. The lovely Shanklin Chine, which is floodlit in the evening, provides extra photographic opportunities. If you bring your car, the Isle of Wight Zoo and Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club are both within a short drive.
Shanklin Beach on the Isle of Wight is a lovely, well-kept expanse of sand. The lifeguards, as well as the children’s play area, are appreciated by families. While the town and the beach are separated by a steep hill, don’t worry—a lift makes it simple to transport all of your beach gear down to the sand.
