Waterside Cottage is a charming two-bedroom stone-built semi-detached cottage in the lovely village of Hovingham in York, nestled close to the beck.
The cottage has a lot of charm and character, and it’s been painstakingly renovated to make it a really pleasant and cosy place to stay.
The living room has a wood stove and the bedrooms have slanted ceilings, and there is a tiny, fenced south-facing garden outside that is perfect for relaxing.
This is a perfect place to explore the surrounding area, as it is surrounded by the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Nunnington Hall and the majestic residence and gardens of Castle Howard are about 4 miles distant, providing excellent walking and cycling opportunities.
Only 8 miles away are the charming market towns of Malton and Helmsley, both of which are well worth a visit.
This is a really enjoyable trip because it is only a short drive to the historic city of York as well as the East Coast seashore resorts.
